Foremarket is Sweden’s largest online marketplace for buying, selling, and trading used golf equipment. The platform helps golfers give their gear a second life while making quality golf products more accessible via secure payments and BankID user verification. The company faced a critical bottleneck: maintaining separate native apps for iOS and Android was inefficient and resulted in inconsistent performance. Updates were slow due to limited influence over development, and they lacked the analytics needed to guide product improvements. To scale, they needed to accelerate iteration based on user feedback, elevate the user experience, and earn the trust of a sensitive user base, without the friction of disjointed development.
Cross-Platform Architecture, Seamless Handover & Data-Driven Strategy
We executed a seamless handover from the previous team, ensuring zero loss of knowledge or continuity. We re-evaluated the application and aligned on a streamlined MVP strategy to prioritize a faster time-to-market using React Native with Expo for a unified cross-platform experience. We embedded a robust tech stack featuring Stripe, Rocker card, and Swish for payments, BankID for secure authentication, and PostNord for delivery. The goal was to create a safe, seamless marketplace environment that users could trust implicitly. We implemented an improved system for gaining insights using Posthog and Sentry. This shifted the strategy from guesswork to precision, allowing the team to track user activity, daily habits, and customer journey trends in real-time to guide future features.
